CMB Resources

Education

The CMB will facilitate both indivdual and group training through personal sessions and workshops.  The goal is to facilitate training of graduate and undergraduate students as well as faculty in both experiemntal and data analysis methods.

Project Development

The CMB Project Development Steering Committee, which is composed of faculty from the Departments of Biology and Biophysics,  is intended to help  non-biophysical laboratories expand into biophysics.    The committee will work with researchers to help identify how the CMB resource can be leveraged into a particular project.

Instrumentation

Center instrmentation includes circular dichroism (CD), fluorescence spectroscopy, analytical ultracentrifugation (AUC), isothermal titration (ITC) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC).  Together these methods can be used to obtain quantitative structural, thermodynamic and hydrodynamic information relating to macromolecular structure and insteractions.
